Information About Psychological Evaluations

Over the years, I’ve witnessed how assessment can serve as a pivotal point in a child’s development, particularly for children who would benefit from specific types of support to reach their full potential. That's one of the primary reasons I find assessment work so rewarding. I provide assessment of autism, attention concerns, and learning disorders in children, adolescents, and college students. If you’re interested in an assessment for your child or teen, you can reach out and request a parent-only consultation appointment. At this appointment, we’ll identify the questions you’re looking to have answered and determine whether an assessment is a good fit for your family. Once an assessment is scheduled, it typically takes place across two-three sessions. Data is gathered from a variety of sources, including the assessment sessions, classroom teachers, and parents. School observations can be added on a case by case basis. I conduct all aspects of the process myself and synthesize the information into a picture of your child in order to answer your initial questions and create a roadmap for targeted support and treatment. A parent feedback session follows the assessment sessions, and a final written report is sent as the last step in the process. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for more information!
